Genuine hands on experience as a Tradesman

Hamish entered the industry in 1991 as a builders labourer in Christchurch. After showing great enthusiasm and an ability to learn quickly he was taken on as an apprentice. His 8000 hour apprenticeship was completed in December 1995, qualifying him for a Trade Certificate in Carpentry.

He moved to Wellington almost immediately and began working as a Tradesman Carpenter. During this time he attended some night courses in Computer Aided Design his first taste of CAD. He gained the respect and trust of his employer and was running residential jobs before leaving for the big OE to London.

Hamish continues to work on his own house and often helps out friends with their building projects. (He gets really bossy though)
