Commercial Work
•New builds
We will be happy to take on any commission that comes our way however we know our limits! For the big stuff we recommend McCoy and Wixon Architects Ltd.As of November 2009 it becomes mandatory for all designers to become registered as a ‘Licensed Building Practitioner. We are currently working on our application for a design category 2 license. This will allow us to continue to work on ’moderately complex commercial or residential buildings’
•Alteration & refurbishment of existing buildings
When it comes to older buildings we like to believe that anything is possible. Any work on existing buildings will require upgrades to disabled access and fire protection systems. In some cases a change of use can also trigger additional structural strengthening works. The Building Act & Building Code provide a robust set of rules for us to work within when obtaining consent from the Territorial Authority or local council.
•Virtual Refurb
A great way to realise the potential of your assets without committing to costly construction. Click for more information on Virtual Refurb.
•Existing building surveys
The first stage to many projects is often a thorough survey or measure up so that accurate 'existing plans' can be drafted. This allows a building owner to see what they’ve got so they can begin thinking about what they might have.
